Tittle:- Opening, cleaning and refitting of spark plug in spark ignition engine.

(प्रैक्टिकल :- स्पार्क इग्नीशन इंजन में स्पार्क प्लग को खोलना, साफ करना और फिर से फिट करना। )

Material and Equipment:- New Spark Plug, Long Socket Spanner of 16mm and 21mm size, handle, extension rod, ratchet, old cloth, gloves, 10mm combination spanner, 12mm combination spanner, emery paper, spark plug cleaner(optional), 10mm T spanner, Screw Driver

(उपकरण एवं सामग्री):- नया स्पार्क प्लग, 16 mm की और 21 mm आकार की लंबी सॉकेट स्पैनर, हैन्डल, इक्स्टेन्शन रोड, रैचेट, पुराना कपड़ा, दस्ताने, 10mm एवं 12 mm के कॉमबीनेशन स्पैनर, रेगमार, स्पार्क प्लग क्लीनर(वैकल्पिक), 10 mm का टी स्पैनर, स्क्रू ड्राइवर 

Proedure:- 1. At first park the vehicle on level ground.Then apply parking brakes and open the bonnet.Support the bonnet with lever.

विधि :- 1. वाहन को समतल पर खड़ा करें। तब पार्किंग ब्रेक लगाएं और बोनट को खोलें। बोनट को लीवर से खोलें। 

2.Now disconnect negative terminal of battery with the help of 10 or 12mm combination spanner.

2. अब 10 या 12 mm का कॉमबीनेशन स्पैनर लेकर बैटरी से नेगेटिव टर्मिनल हटाएं। 

3.After that remove air filter cover and plug coil with the help of 10mm T-spanner.

3. इसके बाद 10 mm की सॉकेट स्पैनर या स्क्रू ड्राइवर की सहायता से एयर फ़िल्टर का कवर और स्पार्क प्लग कॉइल हटाएं 

4.Now identify the spark plug size visually and take one from 16mm and 21mm long socket spanner which is required.

and fix in extension rod and then attach ratchet.

4. अब स्पार्क प्लग का आकार देखकर पहचानें और 16 या 21 mm में से आवश्यकता अनुसार एक लंबा सॉकेट स्पैनर लें और इसे इक्स्टेन्शन रोड में फिक्स करें और फिर रैचेट को जोड़ें। 

5. Now set ratchet to work in anticlockwise and turn  socket anticlockwise to open spark plug and open all plugs by following this procedure.

(अब रैचेट को घड़ी की विपरीत दिशा में कार्य करने के अनुसार सेट करें और स्पार्क प्लग को खोलने के लिए सॉकेट को घड़ी की विपरीत दिशा में घुमाएं और इसी विधि का प्रयोग करते हुए सभी प्लग खोल लें।)

6. Now visually check spark plug condition. If it is showing brownish colour it is shows good condition. If it is black it needs to clean.

(अब स्पार्क प्लग की स्थिति की देखकर जांच करें। यदि यह भूरा रंग दिखा रहा है तो यह स्पार्क प्लग की सामान्य स्थिति को दर्शाता है। यदि यह काला है तो इसे साफ करने की जरूरत है।)

7. Now if we have spark plug cleaner, we have to fit spark plug in cleaner socket and turn on its sand blast option. During sand blast we have to turn spark plug for throughly cleaning and after complete turning of two times turn off sand blast.

(यदि हमारे पास स्पार्क प्लग क्लीनर है तो हमें स्पार्क प्लग को  क्लीनर के सॉकेट में फिट करना होगा और इसके सैंड ब्लास्ट ऑप्शन को ऑन करना होगा। सैंड ब्लास्ट के दौरान स्पार्क प्लग को पूरा दो बार घुमाएं जिससे पूरी तरह से उसकी सफाई हो सके और दो बार पूरा घुमाने के बाद सैंड ब्लास्ट को बंद कर दें। )

8. After that switch on air blast to remove sticky sand from spark plug and turn it completely. After turning it switch off the air blast and remove the spark plug. Now the plug is fully cleaned and ready to use.

इसके बाद स्पार्क प्लग से चिपकी हुई रेत को हटाने के लिए एयर ब्लास्ट को ऑन करें और इसे पूरी तरह घुमाएं। पूरी तरह घुमाने के बाद एयर ब्लास्ट को बंद कर दें और स्पार्क प्लग को हटा दें। 

9. Check the spark plug gap. It should be generally between 0,80mm to 0.90mm. For further confirmation you may take reference from service manual. (स्पार्क प्लग का गैप चेक करें। यह सामान्य तौर पर 0. 80 mm से 0.90mm के बीच में होना चाहिए और भी सुनिश्चित करने के लिए आप सर्विस मैनुअल से संदर्भ ले सकते हैं।)

10. Now take spark plug and manually fix in the cylinder

 Turn 2 to 3 threads manually and then use ratchet in the clockwise direction for tightenig the spark plug with a single hand torque.(अब स्पार्क प्लग लें और इसे हाथ से सिलिन्डर में लगाएं

हाथ से 2 से 3 चूड़ी घुमाएं और फिर रैचेट का प्रयोग करते हुए घड़ी की दिशा में घुमाते हुए स्पार्क प्लग को एक हाथ के जोर जितना कस दें।)

11. Apply this procedure for all spark plug and fix all coils above spark plugs.(सभी सिलिन्डर के लिए यही विधि प्रयोग करें और सभी स्पार्क प्लगों पर कॉइल फिक्स कर दें।)

12. Now fix air filter and start the engine.(अब एयर फ़िल्टर को फिक्स करें और इंजन को स्टार्ट करें।)

13. It is working fine.(इंजन अच्छे से कार्य कर रहा है।)
